Freesat and Freesat from Sky using same dish

Hi, I'm new to the forum so apologies if I have posted this in the wrong forum section.

My elderly Grandmother used to have a paid Sky Subscription, which after a period of time she cancelled but continued to use the standard sky box in freesat mode as her TV Arial wasn't working with freeview properly.

The dish that she was using was inherited when she moved into the house and I am unsure what condition it was in when the Sky was installed (the installers didn't check it or replace it and...

Hotbird 13 and Astra 28.2 with the same dish?

I've never set up a satellite dish or anything as such and this will be my first time. I have an Icecrypt receiver connected to a dish, 80cm i think, pointed towards Hotbird 13e and it works fine.
However I want to get the Sky channels too which are on Astra 28.2.
Would it be possible for me to add another LNB to my current dish and receive both of them with the same dish?
If so, how hard will it be and would installing a new dish be easier?

Anyone played with one of these boxes? Impossible to get a strong signal. Used to have no issues on a different box, same allignment (19.2), same dish just different box on TNT SAT with official card.
80cm should be more than sufficient. What is bizarre is I shortened the cable from about 5 metres to 2 metres re did the f connectors and the signal strength went down? Im lost (and cold). Roll on summer.

I bought Technomate TM2600 motor which runs DiSEqC 1.2. What do I have to do so that the Technisat Digit S2 receiver works with the Technomate motor? I do not have the receiver manual. Thank you.

Starting to take shape ..
I think this little utility may well be very useful..
The 1602 lcd display arrived from China ..along with my PIC ...
So set about the build with the schematic and Hex flash provided by Mike Berg ... N0QBH
Project found on t'internet....
Build completed on stripboard I then flashed the PIC ..
and after correcting a few build mistakes and adjusting the contrast pot ..I got a result...unit hooked up to a Skybox receiver..

I have a 110 cm dish, and I already receive badr 26 satellite on it. I would like to instal a 25.5 ° E Eutelsat 25B Es'hail satellite on the same dish, because I thinking abut the degree is very close between 26 and 25.5.

I need a sense check to help eliminate the cause(s) of a problem with my motorised set up.
I've lost all signals, although the motor still turns. I had the LNB replaced after the initial signal loss, and got the signal back but lost it again the next morning. According to the installer, the LNB is OK as is the motor arc.

The installer suggested it was the receiver positioner settings that needed adjusted as have Technomate (the main receiver is a TM6900, but I've been unable to get anything...

No signal - cable or receiver postion?

FTA channels 28.2°E in Finland

Hi guys,

I have a 80cm motorized dish with single LNB and I'm able to acquire some fta channels from 13E and 28.2E
successfully. The problem is that on Eutelsat (28.2E), I can't get any signal when searching for channels
from 12xxx frequency. I've got channels from frequency starting 11xxx.

From example I'm trying to get fta indian channels from 12545H but I cant get any signal from the frequency. The quality bar is 0% and my receiver can't find any channels from that frequency.

Hi,

After much investigation i found that 'no-one' in the UK had a 2.4m Andrews Channel master dish for at least 6 weeks.

Tracking down the uk distributor proved tricky, Andrews sold their dish division to ASC Signal, then in June this year they formed a new company called Raven(?) which now produce the dishes, Paradigm are the uk distributors (www.paracomm.co.uk) and they sell the Tx/Rx 2.4m dish for only £1400~ which is a bargain compared to the £2450 i was being quoted elsewhere.

Hi guys,

I've setup a few motorised dishes over the years but never had this obstacle.

Basically I'm setting up my second dish at home but where I want to put it I can't see 1w because of a massive conifer tree.

What would you advise?

Signal quality jumping

Over the past few days the quality has been jumping from 80% down to 15%. When I'm on ITV hd and turn over to BBC1 hd the two pictures merge.
What causes this?

It's rock solid @ 93% Q as I write this.

Drawing on the experiences reading in this and other forums, I decided to make a "global maintenance" on the HH of my system view that from about 20 years is there doing its work and I think it deserve this rejuvenation. Even the dish will undergo this treatment, for the moment I started with supermount in title.

I will try to be as pragmatic as possible, because the arguments are so many and varied that you are likely to never end ... !!! Sorry for my English approximated but is the result...

Motorised dish setup problem and receiving 12.5W

I've had this motorised setup for some years that I only used for Astra1 and Astra2 and everything was ok for just that.

So recently I started looking at other stations, in particular one called Nuvolari, which was on Hotbird at 13E and I received that fine, but for some reason it is no longer there, but is apparently still available on Eutelsat 12WestA @ 12.5W, which I can't get.

Technomate TM-6900 HD Combo Super, DigiPower SG-2100A motor, 80cm dish, Triax TQD007 Quad universal LNB.
