New Dish and Motor help

Hi.
I currently have a 1m dish and a Stab H-H100 motor ( roughly 10 years old). this set up was fine in my old house which was sheltered from the wind however the dish is now in a much more exposed area and my needs have changed. The recent strong winds have caused the dish to move and the motor no longer works. I only use my system for Hotbird, Astra 1 and Astra 2 so I assume that I can buy a smaller dish than I currently have as every time there are strong winds i worry it will damage the...

Can't find any satellites (from UK)

Hello I am new to finding satellite channels. I recently bought an 80cm dish with Inverto 6 degree monoblock lnb. I use a cheap satellite finder which just makes noise and moves from 0 to 9. This is connected between the lnb and the receiver (Openbox V8S).

After 3 days of moving the dish around the garden and looking up directions I managed to get lots of Ukrainian and Turkish channels somehow. For example Dobro tv, Channel 5 Ukraine, Nadya, Belsat, TRT Turk etc. When I looked them up they...

Dish Set Up in West France

Hi All, I am new to this website.
This question might be asked before. I have a 80cm dish and a DisEq motor previously installed in the North of England. I would like to install (wall mount) the same system in West France (Central Brittany). Please can someone explain what will be the reference satellite or true south and step by step installation guide. I want to receive Sky UK and a few more satellites. when both boxes turned on they mess with each others signal

Hi, ive got a vu duo and a skybox f5s, I have an lnb with 8 outputs, 2 feeds are going to the vu duo and 1 feed to the f5s, if I turn both boxes on they mess with each others signal and the picture starts to freeze and glitch, does anyone know what can be causing this?

A fta channel on Amazonas ?

Just blindscanned Amazonas 61W ku on my new TM5302..and found a fta channel in the 12642H 28890 mux ..
No idea what channel this is...perhaps Costa can clarify ..?
Program says VCT ...embeded logo says RTS
The rest a Nagra encrypted of course..

Inclined Orbit Elevation Actuator on Channel Master 1.8m ?

Hi,

Has anyone fitted an inclined orbit elevation actuator to a 1.8m channel master dish on an Az-El mount or got any suggestions about how to go about doing this?

I assume there might need to be a bit of improvisation and fabrication of metal brackets or plates to get the elevation actuator to replace the threaded elevation bolt. I am not sure if direct replacement of the threaded elevation bolt at its location would be the best place to fit the elevation actuator though?

Any advice most...

Channel master 1.8 final installation and plan

Hi, things will be moving quite quick in the next 1/2 weeks, here is my new and final plan for the install.

This is where the dish will live. I am hoping to pick up a 11ft piece of Jarrah tomorrow, the Jarrah will be a stabiliser and take any movement out of the pole, it will also be acting as part of a wooded gazebo that I will be building at a later date ,

I will be burring the Jarrah to a depth of about 3ft, bolted to the bottom of the wood will be a 4ft ish piece of steel around 4/5 inch...

Elevation, how do you measure it?

i have a dish that's rusty. The markings are all gone from the mount. I know I need my elevation to be at 26.5 and I have an angle calculator on my iPhone to show me angles.

What angle am I measuring? Is it the arm? The front if the lnb?

Floor mount

so today I decided to re calibrate my 3 dishes, usually this involves staying up a ladder for a couple of hours whilst I try with no patience to get a decent reception.

On this occasion I bought a floor mount, spent 10 mins with the dish on the floor got the elevation and lnb perfect the simply slid the dish on to the wall mount left / right to get the highest signal and tighten up. Brilliant, 5 mins up ladder :)

Mounting Motorised Dish

Hi all,

I'm currently putting a list of components together for installing a motorised dish. The dish I intend to purchase is a Gibertini OP 85 SE or XP and TM2600 M2 motor, I'd like to go to 1m but don't think that will be possible due to the dish location.
T K brackets to mount to wall I know that on a 18" bracket the pole will be 16" from wall and a 24" bracket the pole will be 20" from wall.
Can someone tell me how much extra clearance the TM2600 motor adds? Don't want to fit a 24" bracket...

Hi

Recently I bought actuator and positioner, I connected both to the receiver, when I switch satellite receiver passes command to actuator but @ actuator end nothing happens

both my actuator and v box are new.

let me know how to detect if my actuator is working fine or not

Hi folks! Just a friendly reminder, that in couple of weeks real possibility is coming to check whether your antenna installed on correct place. That also could be good opportunity to look for good place for new installation. Approximately from 8 to 15th October (depending on location) sun outage effects will be present. One of those effects will be drop of signal level up to full "Malevich" on TV screen :) Do not afraid of this, it is normal.
Of course, to check installation place of antenna...

Hi All,

I'm new here :)

Could someone please help me out? I'm about to install a new satellite system in my house and I've been thinking of getting 3 separate LNBs on a single dish for Astra 28.2E, Astra 19.2E and Hotbird 13.0E. Could someone please advise what dish size I need to get and maybe recommend a good dish along with a holder for those LNBs? I live in Manchester.

Son's wife rang today and had seen , 1.9m (1.8m) for sale €110.

Anyway foto sent to me was:-

Went tonight and the actual dish face is in superb condition ....stand ok too.

Mount nuts and bolts some are rusted but at €110 no complaints.....collection arranged for tomorrow.

but looking forward to this added project.

Think this one may be Marrafa as has...

just bought gibby 1.5 m with original polar mount
do you think It Is a good Idea to leave out original gibby polar mount and mount It on a channel master 1.2 polar mount
are there any shots on that mod
